Dr. -Ing. Pejman Mowlaee received his Electrical Engineering (B.Sc.) degree from Guilan University, Rasht, Iran in 2005 and achieved the first rank. He received his M.Sc. degrees in Telecommunication Engineering in signal processing from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2007 and achieved the first rank. He was a teaching and research assistant from 2007 till 2008 at Information theory and data processing lab at Tehran Polytechnic. He received his Ph.D. degree at Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark in 2010 where he was a research assistant at Multimedia and information signal processing (MISP). He has been a visiting researcher at University of Eastern Finland, Joensuu, Finland in November 2009. From January 2011 till September 2012 he was a Marie Curie post-doctoral researcher for Digital Signal Processing in Audiology (AUDIS) at the Institute of Communication Acoustics (IKA) at the Ruhr-Universitaet Bochum, Bochum, Germany. He was a geust lecturer at Institut fur Nachrichtentechnik in Technische Universitat Braunschweig in February 2014. Since September 2012, he is an assistant professor at Signal Processing and Speech Communication Laboratory (SPSC lab) in Graz University of Technology in Graz, Austria. His main research interests are digital speech and audio processing, including speech enhancement, source separation, statistical modeling of speech signals, robust speech recognition, and phase-aware signal processing for speech communication. He is a senior member of IEEE. He is the project leader for the Einzelprojekte project number P28070-N33 from the Austrian Science Fund.
